What are the benefits associated with the HPV vaccine?

If more children in Canada were vaccinated against HPV, together, we can prevent about:

1075cases of head and neck cancers by 2042.1

3980cancers of the anus and genitals by 2042.1

The HPV vaccine protects against two types of HPV that cause about 90% of genital warts.2

Both males and females are significantly impacted by HPV-related diseases and so it is important that both adolescent girls and boys are offered the HPV vaccine.3,4,5,6
